Contractors Frequently Asked Questions
Response: Yes. MSHA Hazard training is required at least every 12 months for each
mine location that has a different MSHA ID; if conditions change, hazard
training may be required more frequently.
Question: What other training do I need to access Mosaic sites?
Response: All training requirements can be reviewed under TRAINING of contractor's website.
Question: What permits are needed before I begin work on Mosaic's property?
Response: Your Mosaic representative should instruct you on all permits needed prior to
working. Typical permits include Water Safety, Safe Work, Confined Space, and
Trenching/Excavation.
Question: Can individual contractors maintain their records at the main office?
(Safety meetings, site specific training, MSHA Hazard Training, task training, etc.)
Response: Yes, however the individual contractor is required to have documentation
of the appropriate required training (MSHA, Florida Phosphate Producers
card, etc) in their possession while working on Mosaic property.
Question: Are updated manuals for Mosaic safety policies available for contractors?
Response: Current Mosaic Safety policies/programs are posted on the new Mosaic
Contractor website located at www.mosaicco.com/contractors.
Question: Who is our safety contact person to report or notify about incidents or accidents?
Response: Your primary safety contact will be the Mosaic representative that you are working for.
Question: Does Mosaic have an email / website address to which Questions could
be forwarded as they arise?
Response: All Questions and inquiries can be sent to. Jon.Heaser@mosaicco.com
Question: When bringing people from out of state, do they need the Phosphate
training or can they be out with someone who already has the training?
(This is for people who would come on site for one day or less or a few
times per year.)

Mosaic site?
Response: No, only required for the months you perform work on Mosaic property. However, you must acknowledge that you did not work at the site in ISN's Site Tracker tool (https://www.isnetworld.com/).
